TRADITION IS AT OUR HOME!
The Žuman family has been making pottery since 1874 and is one of the few pottery families with such a long and rich history.
The pottery is now in its fifth generation, and we are particularly proud of the fact that we have fully preserved the traditional way of making pottery.
Our pottery is made from clay mined in a clay pit in the heart of Prlekija. The pottery is made by hand on a potter's spindle and decorated with a typical Prussian wavy pattern in white, brown, green or blue in different sequences. The products are then fired in a traditional wood-fired oven, giving them a special character.
Our ancient ancestors prepared food in earthenware. Today, their use is again gaining ground in modern food preparation. Food prepared in a cooker preserves its temperature, juiciness and freshness, thus enriching the quality of its taste.
